About this event

This workshop is intended for students (both undergraduate and graduate) and postdoc. Free meals and beverages will be provided. No ticket required, everyone is wellcome to attend.

The first part of this interactive workshop is a talk titled The Effects of Mental Well-Being on Learning and Productivity. We will present statistics surrounding the general mental state of students in higher education in Canada. We will try to break misconceptions about productivity and cover topics such as effects of mental well-being on our work especially through a case study and the major factors that can influence our mental health.

The second part of the workshop will be a group discussion. Participants will be able to share their experience or ask questions/advices from their colleagues in academia and in research. The goal of this workshop is to raise awareness of the importance of mental well-being and its impact on our daily life.

This workshop has been funded through the EDII Advancement Fund of the McDonald Institute.
