We are inviting you to a special Toastmasters meeting titled "Milestones and Memories" as we celebrate our club's 14th anniversary!

Our Toastmasters’ Club was founded on May 17, 2010, in Liberty Village. Since then, we have been committed to helping individuals develop their public speaking and leadership skills. This meeting will be a wonderful opportunity to reflect on our journey, celebrate our achievements, and share memorable moments from the past 14 years!

Highlights of the Meeting:

- Welcome and Opening Remarks

Hear from our meeting leader as she reflects on the growth and accomplishments of our club!

- Member Speeches

Enjoy a series of speeches from our members, sharing personal stories and milestones reached through their Toastmasters journey. At Toronto Liberty Village Speakers (TLVS) you have the option to give you prepared speeches at our location or via Zoom. Giving a speech at our club in person offers several benefits compared to delivering it over Zoom:

1. Better connection and engagement with the audience: Making eye contact and reading body language is easier in person, allowing for a more natural connection with the audience. This enhances your ability to gauge their reactions and adjust accordingly.

2. Improved public speaking skills: In-person meetings provide a more realistic public speaking experience, helping you develop skills like stage presence, voice projection, and effective use of physical gestures and movement.

3. Realistic feedback: Evaluators can provide more comprehensive feedback on your physical presence, body language, and overall stage performance when you speak in person.

While Zoom meetings offer convenience and accessibility, they lack some of the nuances of in-person interactions. However, they are valuable for practicing virtual presentation skills, which are increasingly important in today's remote work environment.

-Interactive Session

Participate in an engaging and highly interactive session where members and guests get to participate in an exercise called Table Topics! If you are wondering what Table Topics that is great! Come to our location or connect via the Internet using zoom and we will tell you what Table Topics is.

Join us for an evening of celebration, inspiration, and camaraderie as we honor our past and look forward to a bright future!

-General Evaluation

General evaluations promote club quality and growth. By identifying areas for improvement in the meeting structure and role fulfillment, the club can take steps to enhance the overall experience for members and guests.
