Description

This session features the Neuroinclusivity in Housing hub, a platform for sharing knowledge and resources gathered from Canadian and international sources that approach housing from a neuroinclusive lens. Building on prior initiatives in autism and housing, we will share suggestions and solutions we heard from community members and housing professionals that address issues such as independent living, inclusive building and space design, and supporting mental health and wellness. We will also explore the housing ecosystem and discuss the various ways that individuals, governments, and organizations can work together to move neuroinclusive housing forward.

Biography

Neuroinclusivity in Housing is a partnership between the Accessibility Institute at Carleton University and the Sinneave Family Foundation. We aim to facilitate knowledge exchange and applied research to move neuroinclusive housing solutions forward. We curate and share good practices, tools, and resources to support coordinated action in the housing ecosystem and the National Neuroinclusive Housing Network.
