Creating a still life is the perfect starting point to practice fundamental drawing skills. This online class will help you master the art of drawing still life, understand light and shadows, and hone your ability to construct and combine shapes to create beautiful artworks.
Your instructor, Anne, will start the class with a quick introduction to materials, and then guide you through the drawing process from measuring and drawing the information, preserving shadows and highlights to create depth in the artwork, to shading techniques with charcoal.
Live on Google Meet: Class will be hosted on Google Meet. Step by step instructions will be provided throughout the drawing process to help you complete your project. Participants are encouraged to turn on their webcam/video to take part in this class. This is to allow the artist/instructor to check on the progress of participants and offer personalized guidance & support where needed.

Who is this for: This class is designed for beginners and is suitable for all ages, including kids and adults. No previous drawing skills are needed. You can participate with your family or friend group. Drawing in a community setting is stimulating, comforting, and fun!

About the artist: Anne Mary, a professional artist specializes in various mediums, and also the owner and a Certified Zentangle Teacher at Anne Art Academy, an ISO and MSME Certificate Academy based in India. Since 2011, Anne has worked as an assistant professor in the civil engineering department, has written a book about surveying and received the "Best Women Award - Young Author". For Anne, art drawings have been her childhood passion. Through her personal fascination in various art drawings, she became a Doodle and Zentangle artist and teacher offering online courses across countries as well as offline courses in her academy in India.
