The 2024 Banner Project is in partnership with the Greenways Land Trust. The Campbell River Arts Council is honouring this special partnership with opportunities to highlight the amazing work and initiatives of Greenways in the Campbell River community with creative expression and art making. This is also a space where you can bring your banner and paint with others. Whether you are wanting to explore art with a weekly art directive that reflects a Greenways nature and stewardship theme, or pop in to get started with an idea and design for the Banner Project, we've got you covered! Please note: If you are interested in participating in the 2024 Banner Project, you must sign up with a separate link through the CR Arts Council HERE. You do not need to sign up for the Banner Project to attend these studios and make art.

You must pre-register for these free open art studios which are happening for six sessions on Thursdays 9:30am to 12:00pm starting in April, and they are open to everyone. Outreach Coordinator and visual artist, Jessica, will be facilitating these studios. Please note: This is not an art class but rather an opportunity to create and explore self-directed art in a welcoming space based on a suggested theme or paint your banner. We will be working with traditional art and natural materials. Art materials and tea will be provided by the CR Arts Council.

Space is limited to eight stations per week! The cottage can accommodate small groups of people working on their banners.

Dates: April 4, 11, & 18, No session April 25, May 2, 9, & 16.

Please note: Wheelchair access is available into the building via ramp, however the washroom is not wheelchair accessible or suitable for individuals with mobility issues. Parents must always remain with their children. This studio is an inclusive and safe space for all.
