When titans of publishing raise distribution prices at the newsboys’ expense, charismatic leader Jack Kelly rallies newsies from across New York City to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what’s right! Based on the 1992 motion picture and inspired by true events, Newsies features a Tony Award-winning score by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman.

WHAT IS THE RUN TIME OF NEWSIES?

NEWSIES runs approximately two hours (120 minutes) with a twenty-minute intermission between ACT I and II.

IS GUELPH LITTLE THEATRE LICENSED?

Yes! Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as snack items, will be available for purchase in The Lobby prior to, during and after the performance.

IS SEATING ASSIGNED OR GENERAL?

Seating is general. Audience members will be admitted on a first-come-first-serve basis, with those who have pre-ordered tickets receiving priority.

CAN I PURCHASE TICKETS AT THE DOOR?

Yes! Tickets may be purchased at the door prior to the performances with cash or credit. E-Transfer is also accepted.

WHEN DO THE DOORS OPEN?

Doors open a half-hour prior to scheduled performance times (1:30 PM for a 2:00 matinee performance, and 7:30 PM for an 8:00 evening performance.)

DOES PENNY & POUND OFFER REFUNDS?

Penny & Pound does not refund tickets, unless in the case of a cancelled performance. If you are unable to attend the show, please email pennyandpoundtheatre@gmail.com to find out if you are eligible for company credit.
