Event description

Description

This is a free public event of interest to prostate cancer survivors, their supports, physicians, health care providers and members of the general public. The event features 3 physician specialists as speakers, followed by an open question and answer period with a panel of health experts.

This year's keynote speaker, Dr. Tom Pickles, is a Radiation Oncologist at the BC Cancer Agency and Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia.

He will speak on "Managing Side Effects of Radiation Therapy".

Other featured speakers are Dr. Peter Lau and Dr. Trustin Domes, both Saskatoon urologists. They will respectively speak on "Managing Urinary Incontinence" and "Treatment for Erectile Dysfunction in Saskatchewan".

Guests will have the opportunity to view displays from related exhibitors, and address questions to the popular 'panel of experts' segment of the program.

A light continental breakfast and mid morning refreshments are provided.

Parking costs are the responsibility of those attending the event.

Doors open at 7:30 am and the event wraps up at noon. If you have attended this event in the past, please note that the venue is the same as in prior years (formerly the Radisson Hotel, downtown Saskatoon).

This group learning activity has been approved by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Saskatchewan Chapter for up to 3 Mainpro+ credit hours (professional development certification for family physicians). Proof of attendance will be provided for other health professionals (on request).
