Vancouver organists present an eclectic programme of music on St James’ majestic three-manual Casavant Frères organ. This annual by-donation event is a wonderful opportunity to hear and meet talented local organists in concert on the historic 1938 pipe organ at St James’. Presented in collaboration with the Vancouver Centre of the Royal Canadian College of Organists.

On the programme are works by Hendrik Andriessen, JS Bach, Denis Bédard, William Bolcom, John Cook, Christopher Dalton, WA Mozart, Georg Muffat, Einar Traerup-Sark, Louis Vierne, and James Alfred Lefébure-Wély.

A wine-and-cheese reception is planned following the concert, which is a great opportunity to meet the performers. As such, please register for this event for planning purposes.

The St James' Music Series promotes live performances for Vancouverites and visitors in its historic buidling designed by Adrian Gilbert Scott, the brother of Giles Gilbert Scott. The heritage building from 1936 has been described as a modern version of fourteenth-century Gothic.It seats around 300, has a baby grand piano, and a three-manual, 31-rank Casavant Frères pipe organ. The Music Series that offers a diverse range of concerts by highly-accomplished artists.
