Raina Krangle

Nominated for the Colleen Peterson Songwriting Award, finalist in the Blues and Roots

Radio International Song Contest and winner of the Western Talent Search and

Newmarket Songwriting Contest, Raina Krangle is a well seasoned singer-songwriter

whose influence of Sheryl Crow, Stevie Nicks and Bonnie Raitt comes through in her

powerful vocals. Originally from Toronto, Raina writes relatable, heartfelt lyrics with

catchy, uplifting melodies and a warm, welcoming sound that will make you feel at

home. Her fresh Folk/Americana vibe is infused with a splash of country and retro 70s

pop, yet with style uniquely her own.

“My god this woman has a beautiful voice, and this song is a total tear-jerker about

the loss of a life-long partner. It’s got beautiful instrumentation and harmonies too. It’s

not hard to see how Raina won the Newmarket Arts Council Songwriting Competition in

2016 or why she was nominated for a Colleen Peterson Songwriting Award. Raina was

raised in a folk music family and is a veteran of Toronto venues such as the Free Times and

the El Mocambo. How have promoters not discovered her? If you’re a promoter, you

should really listen to this!”-Roots Music Canada
