The Red Deer River Watershed Alliance invites you to join us for our Annual General Meeting on Thursday, June 27nd. This event is being held at the River Bend Golf Course from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm .

We are no longer asking our members to renew their membership annually. If you became a member or renewed your membership in advance of the last AGM, you are a current member and will be able to vote at the AGM.

Our guest speaker will be Paul Bauman with a talk entitled ‘Tales and Tools of underground water exploration’.

Paul Bauman B.Sc. in Geological Engineering from Princeton University, and an M.Sc. in Earth Sciences from the University of Waterloo. He is the Principal Geophysicist at BGC Engineering in Calgary where he directs the Near Surface Geophysics group. Paul has been carrying out groundwater investigations in Alberta for 35 years. Paul was the 2022 Inaugural Society of Exploration Geophysicists Distinguished Lecturer on Sustainability (Good Geoscience in Dire Places: Searching for Water in Humanitarian Crises) and received the 2021 award for Applied Hydrogeology from the International Association of Hydrogeologists. Paul will look back at successful groundwater exploration from previous years, but also look to the present and the future with new methods and approaches that are already transforming drought areas in other countries.

We hope to see you there!
