There will be time and space throughout the day for quiet and reflection and also for social gathering, all together and in smaller groups, as you choose. Please bring a bag lunch. Coffee and Tea will be available.

We will have Eucharist at midday.

There will be two workshops. One in the morning and one in the afternoon:

  • Modern Healing, Ancient Roots: Re-energising the Healing of the Early Church, presented by Kit Woods, a leader in the Healing Ministry in her parish of All Saints, King City. Kit, an alternative therapist since 2006, brings spirit-centered, heart-full approaches to healing.
  • 5 Steps for Successful End-of-Life Planning Conversations, a Willow workshop, presented by Allison Elliot, an end of life doula with much experience compassionately supporting and guiding conversations with loved ones for advance planning of end of life

The Bishop's Committee on Healing Ministries provides for coordination and collaboration for the Healing Ministries of the Diocese of Toronto. The Healing ministries represented on the committee include, but are not limited to, Lay Anointers, Parish Nurses, Lay Pastoral Visitors, Seniors Ministry, lay and ordained Healthcare Chaplains. The committee is a resource for the communities and people of the diocese and also promotes the networking of resources. The committee supports, develops, coordinates and presents educational materials, events and retreats.
