About this event
This live workshop is a part of the series of events for Fashion Revolution Week with Fashion Open Studio, hosted by positive knitwear designer, Olivia Rubens.
This workshop will show you how to make yarn simply and quickly from an old tee, how to use your fingers (yes, your fingers!) to knit, and how to fill those darned holes in your jumper. Got bored of a knit and want to zhuzh it up with some colour and patchwork? Want to learn to knit from a T-shirt and make something completely new? Don't have knitting needles and want to knit anyway? We will provide the base and you can build what you want.
Upon registering for this event, we will send you a confirmation and closer to the event, you will receive a link for the live workshop YouTube live invite. The workshop will last approximately 1-2 hours.
Things you will need:
- 2 (or more) T-shirts to upcycle (to create your patchwork, so pick whatever color(s) you want);
- One pair of scissors and/or a rotary blade;
- A ruler;
- A knit piece of clothing or accessory that needs mending or updating.
