About this event

  • 2 hours

Join Ontario Nature to celebrate the launch of the Ontario Reptile and Amphibian Atlas (ORAA), a 10-year community science initiative, through an in-person guided hike at Cawthra Mulock Nature Reserve (CMNR). This nature reserve is less than an hour from Toronto and is home to many species of reptiles and amphibians, including various turtles, frogs, salamanders, and snakes.

At this event, you will learn about reptile and amphibian ecology, habitat, and conservation through the lens of the ORAA. Ontario Nature staff will lead you through the diverse habitats of CMNR in search of reptiles and amphibians. You will also learn how to contribute to community science using iNaturalist and have the opportunity to view printed copies of the ORAA.

This event is generously supported by the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation and the Hodgson Family Foundation.

Meeting Location: The meeting location will be in the parking lot of Cawthra Mulock Nature Reserve.
