About this event

  • 2 hours

Seeding, germinating, potting up, fertilization, dampening off, transplanting. Learn to raise great seedlings, whether in a greenhouse or at home from seed to transplanting. We will meet at the greenhouse and work outside as well. Bring a hat, gloves, water and a snack. You can bring some of your own seeds and pots to plant if you want. Meet at the greenhouse and look for Jeremy!

Jeremy Stojan has 15 years experience working in small-scale organic agriculture, mostly with vegetables, herbs and herbs for both production and seed saving. He has helped convert Fresh City Farm from traditional organic tillage to low/no-till, regenerative farming practices over the past 5 seasons, and will be facilitating the workshop series this summer.

Organized by

Fresh City Farm is starting 2024 off with a new regenerative farming workshop series, most useful to prospective farmers but great for ambitious or curious gardeners as well. The workshops throughout the spring summer and fall will focus on different timely aspects of farm production on a bio intensive, organic market garden, using regenerative and no-till growing techniques. We will publish new workshops as the summer progresses so check back often!
