So you want to be an investigative journalist?
Tue, 21 March 2017, 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM PDT
Join us for a talk and Q&A with award-winning investigative reporter, Sandra Bartlett. As the 2017 Asper Visiting Professor in Journalism, Bartlett brings more than 20 years of experience with CBC and NPR; and collaborative work with PBS Frontline, ProPublica, the Centre for Investigative Reporting, and the Centre for Public Integrity. In this lunch and learning opportunity, Bartlett presents the step-by-step process of thinking through key questions for investigative reporting. Highlighting two of her high-profile stories - the big business of organ and tissue donation, and death investigations in the U.S., Bartlett offers tools and tips for budding young journalists and anyone interested in investigative journalism.
Light lunch will be served. (Please indicate dietary restrictions when you RSVP)
