Soundscapes of Self: a self-discovery journey through voice and movement

Have you ever experienced a moment where you are bursting with thoughts and feelings that you can't express or talk about? Does the weight of these unspoken words create a constriction in your throat, chest, and body? If so, this workshop might be for you.

As humans, we store and hold our life experiences and emotions in our voices and bodies through a complex interplay of physiological, psychological, and experiential factors. Our voices serve as powerful vehicles for emotional expression and communication, reflecting the rich tapestry of our inner worlds.

Join us for 2 hours of immersive journey of self-exploration through movement, music, and sounds. Dive into the depths of your being and discover the power and the richness of your voice, the magic of sounds, and the resonance of vibrations.

During these two hours, we will use exercises inspired by music, drama, and art therapy. Our focus will be on:

  1. Exploring the therapeutic potential of voice, sounds, and vibrations in promoting self-expression and emotional release.
  2. Cultivating mindfulness and body awareness through vocalization and sound exploration.
  3. Providing you with practical tools for incorporating sound-based practices into your self-care routines.

Together, we will co-create a safe, confidential and consensual space. All are welcome; no previous experience in art or other form of musicality is needed. Come with a playful and curious spirit, and invite your inner child to join you on this journey. We will work individually, in pairs, and as a group.

Every single exercise is an invitation. You are free to modify exercises to meet your own needs and comfort level at every moment.
