About this event

  • 6 hours 30 minutes

A constellation circle is a space of deep healing. You come to find release from patterns, to have rich encounter with others, to see the world from a new perspective. The circle is a sacred space. You leave the circle with insight into your family and ancestral loyalties, with a deeper compassion for others and with a heightened awareness of the depth of our connection.

Being outdoors and on the earth all day adds a richness to the constellation experience that is extraordinary. Healing circles have taken place all over the earth and in all different indigenous cultures. No matter where your genes originate, some of your ancestors will have experienced healing work outdoors in circles with ceremony and celebration. In this circle we have the opportunity to reinforce our connection with mother earth and father sky, with the forest and animals sharing it, with our ancestors, family and community. We will have the assistance of Sombra, our approximately two year old Lab mix. Dogs have been my assistant at most of our outdoor circles and always draw attention to what I am missing.. or the family is missing!

For more information about constellation work, its history, how it works, my training, etcetera, see my web page on constellation work. I plan to hold this circle on an area we have prepared on our own property specially for this purpose. There will be facilities for shared potluck lunch. Please bring a folding chair if possible and whatever sun protection you require as well as water for yourself and food to share. Dishes and cutlery will be provided.

Shelley Easthope has been facilitating constellation circles since 2011. Trained by Francesca Mason-Boring, she has also received training and guidance from many well-respected facilitators, including Dr. Stephan Hausner, Dr. Albrecht Mahr, Anngwyn St. Just, Brigitte Sztab and Rafael Ruiz. Originally trained in Family Systems Therapy, Shelley experienced the pioneering work of Virginia Satir and went on to work with children and families and eventually practice shiatsu and reiki.

Frequently asked questions

Is accommodation available nearby?

Yes, there is a provincial campground nearby and many resorts and B&B’s on Pender Island. I know of some rooms available nearby, so if you require accommodation, you may get in touch with me. You may wish to stay on Pender at least part of Sunday to have some quiet integration time.

Will we be outside all day?

Yes, we will be outdoors, so come prepared for that. There is some shade, but will be sun. There are bathroom facilities. In the event of rain, the weekend will be re-scheduled.

Do I need to want to participate in a constellation in order to participate in the circle?

There are lots of ways your will benefit from being in the circle. You may sit in the circle and observe, be available as a representative or set a constellation. Clarity about what you desire to receive will make the experience most worthwhile.

Organized by

Reiki Classes, Systemic Constellation Circles and Ki to Health Classes are events that I organize on Pender Island and sometimes in Vancouver or Victoria. I am passionate about discovering what prevents us from leading our best lives, where the energy is blocked, to free us to lead happier healthy lives. The work I do is for myself and those who participate, but even more it is for future generations and our Mother Earth. I love the deep sense of connection experienced through these classes and circles. You can learn more on my website or Facebook.
