In this 5-week series, you will learn to craft stories that will make your writing not only clear, but memorable. We will explore narrative non-fiction and essay and use poetry as a warm-up. Leave the sessions with new drafts of writing and valuable feedback that will boost your confidence, creativity, and skill as a storyteller!

Through workshops and coaching, she guides others in writing their own stories. Her poetry collection, “The Way We Hold On” was published by Pottersfield Press in the spring of 2018.  

Abena is an enthusiast of African dance and performs traditional and modern West African Dances.  In 2003, Abena founded and led Lady Step, a university step team that performed four years. She is currently exploring the genres of modern dance, afro-cuban, and afro fusion.

Abena is curious about the connection between arts and health. She is passionate about creativity and connection between living beings.
