New this year is the Eventbrite mobile app which you can download from Google Play or Apple store. It allows you to save your tickets as images to show for check-in at registration. Alternatively, you can still access PDF tickets by creating an Eventbrite account, logging into it and printing them out. Either way, please come prepared with your tickets either on your device or printed out and arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of your walk.

What if it rains?

We proceed rain or moonshine. Should there be lightning or severe weather, we would ask that you remain in your vehicle or seek other shelter until the storm passes and then we would start the walk. Come prepared for the weather.

How long is the walk?

Each ghost walk lasts approximately an hour and a half of easy walking.

How old should a child be to take part in a ghost walk?

That depends upon the maturity of the child but generally age 10 or 11 is advisable.

The Kent Historical Society has existed since 1912 and offers free programs in Studio One of the Chatham Cultural Centre on a monthly basis from September to May except for December and February. Each program highlights a different aspect of Chatham and area's past with speakers on a variety of historical topics. The Society also sponsors special events such as ghost walks and Spirit Walks and hosts bus trips for members usually in June each year. For more information phone (519) 674-2322.
