Summer Solstice Celebration

This event is bringing multiple communities together for a fun filled wholesome celebration of the coming of summer!

Join us as we gather on beautiful Niagara soils that are beaming with vibrancy! This private property is nestled in the rolling forested valleys of Fonthill and has a swimable spring fed pond, multiple spaces to relax under a shady tree, a picturesque garden filled with flowers and a geodesic dome! Peace emenates from the intentionally stewarded spaces on this magical property.

Families are very welcome to join this event and family rates are available! Please text Lauren at 289-690-0189 to make arrangements ($100 per family and single parents can come together for this price too). There will be a fun obstacle course and art area for the children to enjoy! Please bring a change of clothes as it is very likely they may get into some water activities.

We have some very talented folks coming to share their gifts with you! We will start off our activities with kundalini style yoga by the magical Natalina Giovinazzo in a nice shady oasis. Once you are warmed up you are welcome to try some flow art activities like scarves and hula hooping. Then our delicious potluck will bring connection, nourishment and joy as you taste the rainbow of offerings that will be shared! Please remember to bring a dish/offering if you are joining us. Then we will gather to light the bon fire in an intentional way and begin a lively drum circle to get us ready to MOVE with the DJ's and their elecrifying beats! To wind down our evening we will gather in a geodesic dome for a mystical sound journey with multiple facilitators guiding us deep into states of harmony and peace within. Stay with us after to soak in the glow of community connection!

We have planned a nourishing and inspiring series of experiences for families, singles and couples to enjoy! Children's areas will remain open until dusk, they are welcome to stay as long as they are comfortable and supervised by parents. Our activities flow is below:

We will have a post event social until 12am so come prepared to stay out! Please bring layers as tempertures fluxuate into the evening and can get damp.

Important Details

Parking

*Please park at St.John Conservation(3101 Barron Road, Thorold, ON L0S 1E6) and walk to the property which will take approximately 10 minutes or less. If you need closer parking or shuttling please contact Lauren at 289-690-0189 (or if you need help finding the property). From the park parking lot you walk straight and stay straight when you get to Hollow Road, before there is the corner to the right you go straight into the landway where there will be a sign. Keep walking into the driveway till you see our registration table. Please sign in with our registration attendent before entering. 1996 Hollow Road is the address of the property but there is no available parking there so please only use this for additional walking directions.

*Layered clothing and change of clothes as desired(creative outfits are celebrated!)

*Potluck dish if coming for potluck

*Folding chair if desired

1. Be kind and respectful- Help keep spaces safe and inclusive!
2. Aspire for compassionate attunement with self, others, spaces and land- We gather to uplift each other and commit to co-creating, a safe, non judgemental family friendly, shame-free relating space. Please help us leave the land better than how we found it.
3. Communal effort- We make conscious effort to positively impact the collective experience.
4. Radical creative self expression is celebrated- We celebrate our differences and diversity and especially in clothing! Come dressed up or bring as many outfits as you'd like!
5. Perfume/Cologne free space- To respect sensitivities please refrain from bringing/wearing these in our space.
