June 20 - Summer Solstice
- A summer solstice Star Party the day before National Indigenous People's Day with Will Morin, a local Ojibwe educator, storyteller, and artist. Learn about the connection between a turtle's shell and the phases of the Moon and observe the nearly full moon through a telescope.
July 19 - Venus
- Venus takes centre stage as Will Morin, a local Ojibwe educator, storyteller and artist, is back to talk about Indigenous perspectives on the Sun, Earth, and Venus. Tour the solar system in the Planetarium, followed by a tour of the beginning of the Solar System Path along the shore of Lake Ramsey with Will, and view Venus through a telescope.
August 9 - Perseids Meteor Shower
- As the Perseids meteor shower approaches its peak, join us to learn how to view one of the best meteor showers of the year! Learn about what meteor showers are in the Planetarium and how to view them in the night sky.
