About this event

  • 4 hours

The next Comic Jam will be SUNDAY MAY 5th!!!

Normally we have the Jam on the LAST Sunday of the month but due to scheduling issues the next one will be on the first Sunday of May on the 5th. Which means we’ll have TWO Comic Jams in the same month! The first Sunday of the month and then again on the last Sunday on May 26th! Remember to pace yourself and drink lots of water next month.

If you’re new to the Comic Jam, it’s pretty simple; one person draws a panel, someone else adds to it and we keep going until a page is finished. All of the collected pages are printed in a zine we publish every month. So bring your pencils pens and other tools of the trade and hangout with other local artists while making comics together. See you soon 👁️

If you can’t make it out in person, we have an online Comic Jam and Discord where you can connect with Comic Jammers. If you want to see more about what the Comic Jam is like, there's our instagram. That’s about it, so see you on Sunday May 5th in the backroom of the Cameron House, 408 Queen Street West 🖐

Is this place wheelchair accessible?

Sorta? If you call the Cameron House, they'll say they're wheelchair accessible but the washrooms are really tight and hard to get into, so I guess the place is sorta accessible ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I want to break into the comic industry, can you guys help me out?

Professional comic artist from various parts of the industry have come to the Comic Jam over the years but this isn’t the time and place to bring your portfolio for critique. A lot of Jammers self publish their work so you can maybe ask advice, but this is a time and place to make comics and relax
