About this event

  • 2 hours

If your kids like dinosaurs, they’ll love Dino Runs @ The Bentway! The morning starts with costumed Dino Specialists teaching participants about dinosaurs through songs, dance, and games. Then, the kids become Dino Explorers, ready to help recapture escaped dinosaurs.

The main event is a non-competitive run around our 200m figure-eight skate trail to chase after and catch dinosaurs! It’s a fun and creative way to start the weekend. All registered participants will receive a Dino Medal that roars at the end of the run.

Family members are welcome to join the run at no cost – only kids need a ticket. Adventure awaits! And, visit The Mom Market Toronto on site during the event.

Registration opens at 9:30am, race begins at 10:00am.

Please note:

  • Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • This site is wheelchair accessible.
  • Universal and all-gender washrooms are available on site.
  • There may be a photographer present at the event. By participating, you consent to The Bentway using event photos for promotional purposes.
  • Non-registered family members can join in the fun at no cost. Which means you only need to register the kids! Bring grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Organized by

The Bentway works to ignite the urban imagination, using the city as site, subject, and canvas. Anchored under Toronto’s Gardiner Expressway and guiding its complex future, The Bentway is a growing public space, and much more. It is a new type of civic organization: an independent charity and a not-for-profit, powered by vital partnerships with the City of Toronto, residents, supporters, artists, creatives, city-builders, and dreamers. The Bentway is a catalyst rooted in experimentation, demonstration, and regeneration; leading a creative movement to re-imagine the opportunities of urban spaces.

Since Phase 1 of The Bentway – under the Gardiner from Strachan Ave to Fort York Blvd – opened in 2018, it has proven to be a vital public space, backyard park, cultural platform, connector for the western Waterfront corridor and a demonstration of what is possible. In partnership with the City of Toronto, The Bentway is creating a network of public spaces, developing a cohesive vision for wayfinding and reconnecting the waterfront to the downtown core.
