About this event

  • 1 hour

Continuing the day with our focus on the Jewish/Italian connection, join HaKol Ha’Ivri, one of Toronto’s leading a cappella groups, for a gorgeous hour of vocal music by the great 16th century Baroque composer, Salamone Rossi. This Jewish Italian composer served as a transitional figure between the late Italian Renaissance and early Baroque, and his music is exquisite. It is an enchanting afternoon concert with angelic voices transporting us to a time gone by.

HaKol HaIvri (“The Hebrew Voice”) was formed with the desire to present repertoire which combines Classical genres with Jewish tradition. The members of HaKol Ha’Ivri have performed around the globe and are among Toronto’s most in-demand vocalists. Their individual musicianship coupled with their superb voices create the perfect sound for this music!

Julia Barber, alto
Nicholas Nicolaidis, tenor
Rob Kinar, tenor
Paul Genyk-Berezowsky, baritone
