The Well-Read Witches Book Club
Overview
Witches! Book-lovers! Have you been looking for a reason to spend more time reading books?
Good news!
Come join our new book club focusing on witchy reads. Discuss the attributes, lessons, and stories recorded in a range of titles related to witchcraft, Paganism, New Age, parapsychology, and other magical goodness.
(For the time being, this club will focus on non-fiction books. If there's interest, we will either alternate between non-fiction witch books and witchy fiction books, or create a sister group that focuses on fiction.)
For December, our featured title will be: Tales of the Tuatha De Danann: Volume 1 by Morgan Daimler
This book features new English translations of Old/Middle Irish texts. Daimler's translations differ from others because she worked to remain true to the original Irish texts as much as possible, instead of catering to English sensibilites. These translations are a important read for anyone interested in Irish pagan history, or those who work with the Irish pantheon.
We have some copies of the book in-store at Where Faeries Live (as of posting in early December) but the book is also available in paperback via Indigo and Amazon, and as an e-book for Kobo and Kindle readers.
So get your read on, and come join us ready to chat about magic! (We'll also have tea and snacks!)
