A CKLU Fundraising Event!

CKLU 96.7 is hosting a story-telling event, live and in person at Sudbury Indie Cinema on Saturday June 1st, 7-9pm. One after another, each story teller will pull back the curtain on an incident in their lives. Whether funny, suspenseful or life-changing, all will be absolutely true, told by the person at the centre of the story. It promises to be a night to remember.

Emcee is former CBC Radio and CTV on-air personality Peter Williams. The stories he'll introduce have a wide variety of themes: “The Phone Call that Changed my Life”;
“Meeting my Idol”; “Stranded on a Winter's Highway in Northern Ontario”; “Three Days in the Bush” ; “Stand Up Comedy: The Cure for Self-Esteem”; "Pillsbury Dough Girls" & "Green Acres"

Some story tellers may be familiar and others new to the audience, but all have been carefully selected, curated and invited to entertain by CKLU.

Tickets are $25 and available on eventbrite.ca or in person at Jett Landry Music 1119 LasalleBlvd. (cash only) Doors open at 6:30. Curtain time is 7 pm.

Indie Cinema offers an array of movie-house treats & beverages including wine & craft beer.
