11:00 AM - 11:30 AM: Registration Attendees arrive and check-in at the registration desk.

11:30 AM - 11:50 AM : Opening Remarks

12:00 PM to 1:00 PM: Lunch Break and Chat

1:00 PM - 1:50 PM: Panel Discussion: Tips and Tricks for Networking

A panel will discuss the best practices for leveraging social media, online platforms, and digital tools to build and grow your professional network, and how to build authentic relationships and trust.

The panel will cover topics such as effective communication, building rapport, active listening, and identifying mutual goals and interests to help break the ice and create a lasting impression.

2:00 PM - 2:50 PM: Roundtable Discussions (Attendees will break out into assigned tables)

Some possible roundtable topics include:

"Navigating Networking as an Introvert"

"Building and Maintaining Diversity and Inclusion in Your Professional Network"

"The Art of Follow-up: How to Keep the Conversation Going After the Event"

"Networking Beyond Your Industry: Expanding Your Horizons"

"Networking for Career Growth: Leveraging Your Network to Advance Your Career"

3:00 - 3:50 PM: Panel Discussion #2: "Resume/CV/Portfolio Workshop" or "Gaming/Interactive Media Careers in Ontario"

Depending on the feedback before this panel, it will either be a workshop where we break down common resume mistakes and how to best present your portfolio/work.

Or it will be a discussion of the various careers that are really blossoming as part of tech, gaming and interactive media in Ontario and beyond!

4:50 PM - 5:00 PM: Closing Remarks and Swag

Location

The Microsoft Canadian HQ space is located at the CIBC Square, 81 Bay Street, in downtown Toronto, and it is amazing see (https://www.blogto.com/tech/2022/05/microsoft-new-headquarters-office-downtown-toronto/)

Registration is limited, we plan to have around 100 attendees, please only register if you are confident of making it to this event! I will be sending a follow-up email closer to the date as the full list of attendees are required prior to entry at the HQ.
