Sommelier Christina Hartigan leads a spotlight of five venerable wineries from Italy, Washington, Lebanon, Georgia and Spain, each embodying the essence and journey of its land. ‘Rooted in History’ is an exploration of how history has been captured in the vine, with each glass offering a taste of the trials, triumphs, and transformations that have sculpted these regions' wine-making heritage. From the ancient vines of Lebanon to the pioneering soils of Washington, from the classic elegance of Italy to the deep traditions of Spain, and finally the cradle of wine in Georgia, we'll uncover the stories woven into the very roots of these historic wineries and regions.
