About this event

Cape Breton fiddling sensation, Ashley MacIssac, has been captivating audiences around the world for over 30+ years with his traditional and non-traditional styles of fiddle music. Ashley will be taking a "trip to mabou ridge" to entertain us in the barn at Big Belle Farm.

Pictou musician Judd Gunning will open the show for Ashley. Judd has performed at the Stan Rogers folk festival, Pictou Lobster Carnival and New Glasgow Jubilee. Dedicated to the craft of guitar playing, Jud has been building up a strong repertoire of classic songs and instrumentals.

The downstairs area of the barn will have chairs and tables. The downstairs area is also where you can stand, mingle and dance while watching the show. Upstairs will have tables and chairs for those who want to sit and watch the performance or watch it from a different angle. We will only be selling general admission tickets for this event. You can bring your own refreshments and some food will be available during the intermission.

General Admission ticket price is $40 (includes HST). There are no refunds, but you can trade your ticket to someone else if you can't attend.

Must be 19+ to attend. Doors open at 7:30 pm.

Onsite Tent and RV camping can be booked on hipcamp.

We hope to see you there.

Paul Meagher and Adele MacInnis-Meagher are the co-owners of Big Belle Farm.   We purchased the farm in 2010 and have focused mostly on growing perennial plants like grape vines, apple trees, and haskap berries.  In 2018 we purchased 14 acres of wild blueberry fields and intend to create value added products like blueberry jams and blueberry wines.  The farm is a labor of love and our plan for what we want to do in the second act of our lives.
