Habib Siam
Born on Christmas day, a stone’s throw from Bethlehem, Habib thought he was the second coming and almost entered priesthood. Several countries and questionable life decisions later, he completed a Ph.D. at McGill University only to start doing stand-up.
Habib uses his comedy to make sense of the world that he finds increasingly weird and unrecognizable. Through his stand-up, he raises awareness of the situation(s) in the Middle East and tries to process the absurdity of day-to-day life.
Rather than focusing on the issues that divide us, Habib finds common ground in the experiences that are common to us all – lost loves, failed pursuits, and the many fortunate twists our life paths take if we let go just a little. He finds sanity increasingly overrated and takes joy in watching it all unravel.
Habib has headlined clubs internationally, from Lebanon to France, and has performed in multiple languages. A former headliner with Canada’s biggest comedy agency, he is now touring independently.
His conversational style, composed delivery, and measured pace make him one of the more unique voices in stand-up today and his comedy remains free of clichés and cheap laughs.
He also may (definitely) own more shoes than anyone you know.
