Understanding & Living With Depression
Overview
This workshop will explore experience of depression and what it looks like, while navigating suffering. Participants will also learn how moments of suffering may impact a person’s mental health.
The workshop will also provide tools that could support people who are encountering moments of suffering, specifically for people who have depression or other related mental health problems.

Facilitator Bio -
Becky Coholan is a student in the Master of Art Theology and Religion program at Atlantic School of Theology. The program is in junction with Saint Mary’s University’s Religious Studies Graduate program. Becky hopes to pursue Chaplaincy in hospitals or universities after her time at AST. Outside of her busy time in school, Becky enjoys reading books, going for long walks around the city and point pleasant park, she like to go café hopping and spending time with friends.

THRIVE is a virtual learning centre that helps Nova Scotians learn about mental health and well-being. Workshops are facilitated and co-created by people with lived experience, giving participants practical tools to support their own mental health and the mental health of others.
There’s no referral or diagnosis needed, and all sessions are fully online, so anyone can join from anywhere.
