About the instructor

Ryan Kennery (he/they) is Vice President of Emdash, a fully remote PR and campaigns agency that works exclusively with those working to make the world a better place. This includes nonprofits, Indigenous groups, unions, and others pushing for a better future.

He is a part-time professor at Mount Saint Vincent University, and has trained dozens of national and local organizations on improving their media and communications approaches. They are a former senior advisor to the Mayor of Ottawa, and at Emdash has supported partners such as the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation, the Assembly of First Nations, and the Canadian Partnership for Women and Children's Health.
