About this event

  • 2 hours

Since 1566, Argentina has been making wine. Today, wine is considered Argentina’s national drink, and Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, only follows Paris in France in total wine consumption!

Though Malbec is perhaps the best-known grape grown in Argentina, many others, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Torrontes, and Bonarda are also grown there.

From the chilly Chubut region in Patagonia (containing the southernmost vineyards in the world so far!) to the Jujuy region in the far north (close to the borders with Bolivia and Chile), Argentina has many different climates, and many influenced by the Andes Mountains to the west. In fact, driving from the northernmost winery in Argentina to the southernmost would be on the same scale as driving from Regina to Miami in Florida!

Tonight, come taste and learn about the wines of Argentina at Metro Liquor!

¡Salud!
