We Belong: Justice for All IDAHOT Breakfast
Event Information
Description
On May 17, 2019, a diverse assembly of thought leaders and community builders in the Peel Region will meet over breakfast at the Red Rose Convention Centre in Mississauga to recognize International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia (IDAHOT).
This year’s IDAHOT Breakfast theme, We Belong: Justice for All, will explore the role we can all play in ensuring the fundamental human rights of our 2SLGBTQ+ neighbours. Building on the tremendous success of last year’s We Belong: Voices of Youth event, we will discuss the day’s significance in our communities with the aim of generating forward-moving momentum in challenging homophobia, transphobia and other barriers to inclusion in corporate, political, social, cultural, religious, and recreational spheres.
2SLGBTQ+ communities belong in Peel Peel Region, a community that strives to be a safe, respectful, and inclusive place for all of its residents to call home. Join us for We Belong: International Day Against Homophobia Breakfast 2019, to make your voice heard in the movement to enhance 2SLGBTQ+ inclusion in Peel Region.
