About this event

Come learn about Wild Foraged Foods with Growing Chefs! Ontario. We will show you how to forage safely and sustainably, and tips for identifying plants using your senses. Children will get hands-on practice identifying, drawing and making rubbings of plants. We will share a delicious snack with ingredients you could find growing in your own backyard. Each child will go home with recipes that they can use to cook up their own Wild Food! The Forest City is full of food just waiting to be foraged if you know where to look, we'll give handy tips on where and when to start looking. Accompanying adult is highly recommended.
