Yoga Nidra is a practice that draws our attention inwards, between the states of wakefulness and sleep, where our body finds its natural state of equilibrium- the breath balances and becomes quiet, unconscious and conscious aspects of the mind reveal themselves, and we move into a state of deep, blissful awareness.
This is a practice that also nourishes the nervous system. When our nervous system is regulated and resilient, one feels deeply calm and safe. This state supports a healthy immune system, regulation of thoughts and emotions, resilience against stress, and connection to self and others.
From here, we can be healed, restored and awakened to our deepest, all-knowing, all-welcoming self. It’s a sublime practice, gaining popularity all over the world and ongoing research continues to prove its effectiveness.
In this one hour workshop Natasha will review the principles of Yoga Nidra. She will then guide you through a short gentle movement practice to prepare the body for a 35-40min Yoga Nidra session.
