Intro to Butchery with Chef Mike Greenberg

Bring together your friends and colleagues this spring for a special opportunity to connect with each other and your local community, while learning valuable and fun skills in the kitchen!

The session will begin with a tour of the Daily Bread facility and an introduction to our work in the community.

Following the tour, our Chef Mike Greenberg will lead participants through butchering a side of pork. Participants will learn about the different cuts, and how they are used, and view a full demonstration of the butchery process. Following the demonstration, participants will work to package up the cuts of meat for distribution to our on-site food bank for clients to enjoy.

Chef Mike Greenberg is a passionate Chef and Butcher with over 25 years experience in diverse culinary roles. Chef Mike was featured in the MOTIONEER documentary Cote de Boeuf, which aired at the Devour! Food Film Festival, and chronicled his time as a Butcher at one of Toronto’s Traditional meat purveyors.

We hope to see you there!
