On Saturday, June 8, join the Northwestern Health Unit, Gizhewaadiziwin Health Access Centre, Weechi-It-Te-Win Family Services, and Borderland Pride for the Ziigwan Colour Run – a fun run/walk for all ages. This is an opportunity for families to come out and kick-off summer with a day of fitness and fun to celebrate Pride, healthy living, and inclusion in our community.
The Zigwan Colour Run will take place along the La Verendrye Parkway. Participants can walk or run, and we are offering both 1-kilometre and 5-kilometre lengths for the event. The event starts and ends at the Sorting Gap Marina.
Participant registration includes a gift bag and white T-shirt – which won’t stay that way for long. Along the route, our sponsors and partner organizations will have coloured powder to throw at runners. At the finish line, you’ll be rainbow from head to toe! Runners and walkers are encouraged to wear bring leggings, tutus, and other colourful attire.
The registration fees raised from this event will be donated to local charitable causes. Costs are being covered by the host organizations and our sponsors. Please join us to to build community, promote healthy and active living, and celebrate Pride and inclusion!
REGISTER BY FRIDAY, MAY 24, 2024!
