The Floating Opera

The Floating Opera was founded by baritone Efim Zavalny and pianist Rebekka Magomedova, former musicians of the Mariinsky Theatre.

We create vocal and chamber music programmes with a focus on storytelling and connection. While our repertoire includes a wide range of composers, a significant part is dedicated to Russian art songs and operas.

We left Russia due to our anti-war position and now continue performing in the UK under the Global Talent Visa.
