IECS: Fall Series Communicating Climate After Climate DenialismAthree-part seriesof lectures and discussions in Fall 2024, organized by theInstitute for Environment, Conservation and Sustainabilityin conjunction withCanada's National Observer, Harbinger Media, and Another Story BookshopEffective and impactful communication about the dangers of climate change is crucial to climate action by institutions and individuals. But understanding the realities of climate change seems ever more difficult in a media landscape rife with misinformation and fake news and at a time of intense polycrisis—war, migration due to dispossession, racism, unprecedented economic inequality, the decline of democratic discourse, the uncertainty of AI, troubling shifts in the global political landscape, and more. This series aims to shed light on how we know or don’t know about climate change today and the climate realities we are living with as a consequence.
