Lawnya Vawnya is a non-profit arts organization mandated to present multidisciplinary and collaborative artistic experiences focused on new independent music; to produce a multi-day festival of music and art each spring in downtown St. John’s, Ktaqmkuk; to showcase a vibrant music and arts community; and to help further position St. John’s on a national and international cultural map.We respectfully acknowledge the territory in which we gather as the ancestral homelands of the Beothuk, and the island of Newfoundland as the ancestral homelands of the Mi’kmaq and Beothuk. We would also like to recognize the Inuit of Nunatsiavut and Nunatukavut and the Innu of Nitassinan, and their ancestors, as the original people of Labrador.
