When and how do I pick the workshops that I want to attend?

Great question! In early October, all registrants will recieve an email inviting them to select thier workshops so keep an eye on your email.

Are there many restaurants near the Victoria Conference Centre to go for lunch?

If I bring my water bottle, is there a place where I can refill it?

Yes, the venue has water bottle refill stations.

What hotels are near the venue?

Accepted Answer

There are many hotels within a short walking distance to the venue.  The Fairmont Empress, Chateau Victoria Hotel & Suites,  The Union Club of British Columbia,  and the Hotel Grand Pacific are just a couple.  Many events going on in Victoria at this time, so plan ahead and book your hotel early.

Are there many places to park around the Victoria Conference Centre?

There are many parking garages in addition to the underground parking at the Victoria Conference Centre.  Parking at the Conference Centre is $20 for the day.  Another option is the Broughton Street Parkade which is a short walk to the venue  and is located 635 Broughton St.  Daily max is $16 .

Question 6

Since lunch is on our own, can I grab some take out and eat it at the venue?

Unfortunately outside food and drink are not permitted at our venue.  We encourage conference attendees to enjoy lunch at one of the many surronding restaurants and take a walk around the inner harbour so that you are ready for an afternoon of learning.
