Emergo Senior Instructor course - September 28th-29th-30th ( ENGLISH)
Aperçu
Target audience
Healthcare professionals and emergency responders involved in disaster and emergency management (doctors, nurses, paramedics, firefighters, public health officials, law enforcement officers, and frontline workers).
Description
The Emergo instructor training offered by the Emergo Faculty of the CHUM is intended for anyone involved in emergency preparedness or crisis management. It provides all the necessary skills to plan, facilitate, and evaluate Emergo exercises tailored to the realities of your organization. Once certified, instructors become fully equipped to design scenarios, guide teams through exercises, and leverage the full potential of the Emergo method to enhance preparedness, coordination, and resilience during real-world crises.
The Emergo Train System (ETS) is a learning and simulation tool developed by Swedish experts in disaster medicine and traumatology. The Emergo method is used to test and evaluate emergency and disaster response plans. The tool can be adapted to any scenario or context. This method relies on specialized educational materials and structured exercises that enable organizations to test, assess, and optimize their response plans during major emergency situations. Through immersive scenarios and physical representations of victims with varying injuries, ETS provides teams with a realistic training environment where they can test their skills, improve coordination, and strengthen collective reflexes before a real disaster occurs.
** Simulation materials are not included in the training. With the Emergo instructor certification, participants will be able to order starter kits to design activities in their own environment.
Learning objectives
After completing the course, participants will be able to plan, design, facilitate, and evaluate an Emergo tabletop simulation activity.
