About this event

T opic: Self Care

Our Peer Support + Skills Groups are monthly drop-in meetings for anyone who is seeking help in their role as a caregiver or family member of someone who is struggling with a significant mental health challenge.

In these groups, we focus on validating every participant's experiences while creating connections that foster resilience, understanding, and hope. Each month, we share one of the skills taught in our Essential Skills program as an introduction to the skills development education that we offer.

Peer Support + Skills Groups are led by facilitators with lived and living experience. Facilitators have no clinical agenda and are not mental health professionals. Our primary goal is to create a safe, judgement-free space for people to share stories and create connections—a space where the wellbeing and mental health of the caregiver can be prioritized and their needs can be heard and validated.

This group will be facilitated by Lauryn Rees.
