Love crafts? Love friends? Love unwinding with paper, glue, and great conversation? Well, do I have the event for you...

Junk Journalling Workshop with Sophie 📓✨

Step into a world of paper, texture, and tiny treasures. In this beginner-friendly workshop, Sophie will guide you through creating your own handmade junk journal — a one-of-a-kind book made from old papers, book pages, hand-dyed sheets, lace, and collected ephemera, all bound together with a simple stitched binding.

Junk journalling is part collage, part memory-keeping, part creative play. You don’t need writing skills or art experience — just curiosity and a willingness to experiment.

We’ll begin by exploring the materials. You’ll choose your papers, layer textures, and collage the cover of your journal. This stage is all about playful discovery — arranging, layering, and testing combinations without worrying about perfection. Sophie will circulate with gentle guidance, tips, and encouragement, and guests are invited to share the theme or memory they’re building around, sparking easy conversation and inspiration around the table.

Once your cover and pages are ready, Sophie will guide you step by step through a simple pamphlet stitch binding, sewing your pages into a sturdy recycled cover. You’ll also receive extra prepared pages to take home and continue building your journal at your own pace.

After binding, you’ll begin personalizing your journal with ribbons, washi tape, ephemera, and any memorabilia you’ve brought. We’ll finish with a relaxed show-and-tell moment to celebrate everyone’s creations.

You’ll leave with:
✔️ A fully bound handmade junk journal
✔️ Extra pages to add and collage later
✔️ Confidence using papers, layering, and simple binding
✔️ A journal ready to fill with memories at home

Perfect for:
• Paper lovers and stationery enthusiasts
• Anyone who enjoys collage or scrapbooking
• People looking for a calm, low-pressure creative experience

No experience needed. Just come ready to play with paper and make something completely personal.
