Sean Sullivan is the owner and host at Sullivan’s Songhouse in Calvert on the Southern Shore of the Avalon Peninsula. A seasoned performer, Sean’s repertoire draws on his experience growing up in a house where songs and stories were a major part of his Irish-Newfoundland heritage.

Sullivan along with his singing partner Rob Slaney released their first CD entitled ‘Another Good Night’ in 2014 and have since played in Ireland in 2016, Joanie Madden’s Folk ‘n Irish Cruise in 2017 and at the Tim Hortons Brier at the Convention Centre in St. John’s in 2021. They also play regularly at the Irish bars around St. John’s, as well as a number of festivals around the Avalon.

Sheldon Thornhill is a world class performer who embodies the Newfoundland spirit with his infectious personality! His unique style of playing the button accordion while singing at the same time (not an easy feat) is a sight to behold.

He recorded several albums as a member of the popular local band, The Soirees. He is also a major force with The Concert Crowd, a non-for-profit group who raise money for charities, but he is probably best known these days thanks to YouTube as the man who took out his accordion and started the now famous kitchen party at Toronto Pearson Airport.
