Just BE Sound and Movement Therapy is founded and run by Alison Heaslewood, a qualified Sound and Movement Therapy practitioner who trained with the British Academy of Sound Therapy. Alison is also the founder of Ecstatic Dance Berkshire and Marlborough Wellbeing. She has shared her work at the World Yoga Festival, Buddhafield Festival and a variety of local festivals, events and wellbeing gatherings.Her path into this work grew from her own healing journey. After experiencing five years of chronic pain in her twenties, Alison began exploring alternative approaches to healing and wellbeing, including sound therapy. This opened the door to a deeper relationship with the body, sound and self-awareness.In 2020, she attended her first Ecstatic Dance and immediately fell in love with the freedom, connection and expression she found through movement. Since then, cacao, meditation and a deep connection with nature have supported her spiritual journey, alongside an ongoing exploration of surrender, presence and awareness.Alison's work is a natural expression of this personal journey and her continuing self-exploration. She feels deeply grateful to have discovered work that feels so aligned with her passions and sense of purpose and to be creating spaces where others can reconnect with themselves.With five years of vocal training, Alison has also discovered the powerful role the voice can play within healing and relaxation.
