Friends of Watergate Forest Park

We are the Friends of Watergate Forest Park, which is a large nature reserve and lake in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear. We organise a monthly nature club for children aged 4 -11 years, and other occasional family events, such as bat walks, history walks etc. We also hold regular litter picks for volunteers. Our mission is to provide opportunities for people of all ages to engage with the natural environment and increase their understanding of how they can contribute to its conservation, as well as to develop their personal wellbeing.
