Chödak Pty Ltd
Chödak Pty Ltd is named after the Tibetan term chödak (Tib. ཆོས་བདག, Wyl. chos bdag), meaning a custodian or steward of a body of knowledge.
In Tibetan culture, a terma refers to teachings, methods, or artistic practices that were intentionally preserved to be revealed at a later time, when they would be most useful. The person who brings these teachings to light is known as a tertön — essentially the discoverer or originator of the material.
The chödak plays a different but equally important role. While the tertön reveals the teachings, the chödak is responsible for what happens next: studying, practising, safeguarding, and responsibly sharing them over time. This includes helping preserve the material, supporting its publication or documentation, and offering clear explanations so the knowledge can be understood and applied in everyday life.
Inspired by this tradition of stewardship, Chödak Pty Ltd acts as a modern custodian of traditional arts and healing techniques. Our work honours the source and integrity of these practices, while adapting them to support the realities of modern, fast-paced living.
Through talks, workshops, retreats, and in-person gatherings, we create grounded, welcoming spaces where people can engage with ancient wisdom in practical, accessible ways — without requiring any prior experience.
