Open studio art sessions in Leigh — no pressure, just create and connect.
Heart Communities is a creative studio space based in the heart of the creative and cultural floor at Leigh Spinners Mill, offering relaxed, inclusive art sessions for young people and adults.
We create spaces where people can explore creativity at their own pace — whether that means picking up a pencil or paintbrush for the first time, or developing an existing creative practice. Our sessions are not traditional art classes. Instead, we focus on an open studio environment where people can learn by doing, try new materials and techniques, and build confidence through creativity.
We believe creative activity should be accessible to everyone. That’s why we meet you where you’re at — no pressure, no expectations, just a welcoming space to create and connect.
Our sessions include:
Studio Time (ages 7–17) – supportive open studio sessions for young people to explore their own creative direction.
Create & Connect (adults) – a relaxed alternative Friday night creative social with no pressure, just creativity and community.
All materials are provided, and sessions are supported by experienced facilitators, including a professional artist and teacher.
